    Japan has applied to buy the F22 for which there is interest in the US. Not suprised, it has been mentioned for a while that Japan, Israel and Australia are the ones most interested in the platform. This contradicts the statements from the Defence Minister, though I personally never doubted the letter stating the F22 was not for sale was political in origin and driven by a need to quash a domestic political liability for the government.
