Sopwith Snipe E8103

Sopwith Snipe E8103

This profile is taken from a photo of a line-up of 4 Squadron Australian Flying Corps Snipes at Bickendorff in Cologne. E8103 has white wheel covers and a dull and well-worn battleship grey painted cowl. Interestingly the second aircraft in the lineup is E8082 with what appears to be a blue cowl. Lieutenant J.P Trim joined 4 Squadron Australian Flying Corps on the 19th of October, 1918 and was the predominant pilot of E8103 flying the aircraft on seven offensive patrols.
