(1) Leutnant Buddecke (Oberleutnant der Reserve des Leibgarderegiments 115 Hermann Buddecke, der als Hauptmann der deutschen Militärmission angehört) griff ein französisches Flugzeug, das die Meerenge überflog, an, beschädigte es und brachte es an der anatolischen Küste dicht bei Akbaschi zum Absturz. An der Dardanellenfront griff das von Leutnant Buddecke geführte Flugzeug außer dem feindlichen Flugzeug, dessen Sturz wir gestern meldeten, noch ein zweites feindliches Flugzeug an, das brennend abstürzte. Das erste dieser Flugzeuge ist ein französisches, Typ Farman Nr.42 und fiel am 6.Januar vormittags östlich des Kap Nagara; das andere, ein englisches, Typ Farman, fiel auf die europäische Küste östlich von Jalova. Im Laufe des Tages warf unser Flugzeuggeschwader mit Erfolg mehrere Bomben auf die feindlichen Stellungen von Sedd-ül-Bahr und den Flugplatz der Insel Imbros. ____________ 7.Januar 1916. On the Dardanelle Front Second Lieutenant Buddecke who downed the airplane announced yesterday also downed a second airplane which fell burning. The first fo these planes was French, a type Farman Nr.42 which fell on the 6th of January in the morning east of the Cape of Nagara. The Second, and English aircraft, type Farman, fell on the European coast east of Jalova. In the course of the day, our airplane squadron dropped several bombs with success on the hostile positions of Sedd uel Bahr and the airfield on the island of Imbros.

13.Januar 1916. Am Nachmittag des 12.Januar griff das von Buddecke geführte Flugzeug das fünfte feindliche Flugzeug vom Farmantyp an und brachte es in der Umgebung von Sedd-ül-Bahr zum Absturz. Wir fanden den Führer tot, den Beobachter verwundet. Das Flugzeug wird nach kleinen Verbesserungen von uns benutzt werden können. Ein anderer Flieger von uns griff einen englischen Flieger an, der Saros überflog, verfolgte ihn und nötigte ihn, auf Imbros niederzugehen. ____________ 13.January 1916. On the afternoon of the 12th of .January the airplane piloted by Buddecke attacked a fifth hostile airplane of the type Farman and brought it to a crash near Sedd uel Bahr. We found the pilot dead, the observer was wounded. The airplane could be used after small repairs by us. Another of our fliers attacked an English flier, that flew over Saros, pursued it and forced him to come down on Imbros.

Erfolgreiche Luftkämpfe an den Dardanellen. Konstantinopel, 29.Jan. Die Agentur Milli meldet: Fliegeroberleutnant Buddecke brachte mehrere feindliche Flugzeuge an den Dardanellen zum Absturz. Ein von Leutnant Ali Riza Bey geführtes Flugzeug (Beobachter Orkhan Bey) brachte an einem Tage zwei feindliche Flugzeuge bei Seddul-Bahr zum Absturz. ____________ Successful Aerial Engagment at the Dardanelles, 29.Jan. An airplane piloted by Leutnant Ali Riza Bey ( Observer Orkhan Bey ) shot down and crashed two hostile airplanes near Seddul Bahr on the same day.

Sonnabend, 1.April 1916. Am 30.3. griffen zwei unserer Flugzeuge unter Befehl des Hauptmann Boedge [Bethge? - HT] feindliche Flieger an, die Seddul-Bahr überflogen. Beim Luftkampf fiel einer der feindlichen Flieger ins Meer, die anderen flohen in Richtung Imbros. [Dardanellen - HT] ____________ Saturday, 1.April 1916. On 30.3. two of our airplanes under the command of Hauptmann Boedge attacked a flight of hostile airplanes that flew over Seddul Bahr. During the aerial combat one of the hostile airplanes fell into the sea, the others fled toward Imbros.

Sonnabend, 8.April 1916. Am 4.April überflogen acht feindliche Flugzeuge die Halbinsel Gallipoli. Hauptmann Budecke griff sie mit seinem Flugzeug an und brachte im Verlauf des des Luftkampfes ein feindliches Flugzeug vor Kumdere zum Absturz. Das Flugzeug versank sofort im Meere. Nachforschungen feindlicher Torpedoboote, die zu Hilfe geeilt waren, blieben erfolglos. ____________ Saturday, 8.April 1916. On the 4.April eight hostile airplanes flew over the peninsula Gallipoli. Hauptmann Buddecke attacked a hostile airplane and in the ensuing combat he brought a hostile airplane to crash near Kumdere. The airplane sank immediately into the sea. Hostile torpedo boats which hurried to the crashed hostile airplanes assistance, were unsuccessful in rescuing the downed airmen.
