Mr W.J. Strutt, instructor at the State Aviaiton School, Richmond, while out for a fly on Monday afternoon, was caught in a storm over Pitt Town. Dense rain obscured his view, and he lost his sense of bearings. He endeavoured to get above the clouds but the engine stopped, and he was forced to alight. He came down in Mr J.H. Johnston's paddock, and got into communications with the aerodrome. A car was sent for him, and the aeroplane was left at Pitt Town, under guard all night. On Tuesday morning Mr. Stutt flew back to the hangar.
